Healthworks Community Fitness was just featured in U.S. News & World Report!
Healthworks Community Fitness is dedicated to closing the health and fitness gap by providing high-quality fitness opportunities and health education to women and children in underserved Boston neighborhoods. Located in Dorchester, our small but mighty, female-only nonprofit health club has served more than 20,000 women and children, primarily from the Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury communities since opening in 2008.
The majority of our Healthworks Community Fitness membership is represented by Black women, and now more than ever, we want to reemphasize our support for the heart and soul of our community. We continue to stand in solidarity with the Black community near and far against systemic racism and injustice.
Please join us in supporting Healthworks Community Fitness and the wellness journey of all of the members choosing to empower their lives through fitness. Read the article here and donate to our cause via GoFundMe here. We have a goal of raising $8,000 to help Healthworks Community Fitness as it reopens and beyond. Donations are 100% tax deductible.
